His Excellency Mr. Abdul Basit, Pakistan High Commissioner in India delivered a talk in the SAU Distinguished Lecture Series on the topic "Revisiting South Asia - Some Practical Steps Towards Fostering a Shared Regional Consciousness"
Explorasia is a first SAU Hostel Festival that saw many activities including sports, cultural events and fun, food and more fun. Here is a glimpse of some of the aspects of the festival.
SAU Distinguished Lecture Series present speakers from different parts of the world encompassing a wide range of subject areas. Beginning February 2015, SAUDLS presents one speaker every month.
SAU presented Dr. Paula Richman, a popular South Asianist to give the first lecture of the series on "Crossing Boundaries - People who travel" on 19 February 2015.
Jatra 14 was a cultural event organised by the students of Faculty of Social Sciences at the Akbar Bhawan campus of SAU on the 18th of October. The fest was the first major cultural fest of SAU which saw many activities including graffiti competition, AV quiz on South Asia, Model SAARC, traditional attire ramp walk, musical concert and South Asia food festival. In all it was an immensely enjoyable fest where everyone had fun and let their hair down.
